We’ve recently received a wonderful answer to prayer from a worker in the Arabian Peninsula:
We have been praying for Harry* to open his heart to God and grow in his prayer life. We wanted to see him move away from the ritualistic patterns in Islam. He is now learning to see prayer as a heart-felt expression of love and devotion to a relationship with God. Rejoice with us that Harry has taken several steps forward in this area of his faith!
Ramadan began on 28 June and finishes on 27 July. This is a time when most Arab nations expect people to observe the Islamic month of fasting. Believers in Christ, like Harry, will face strong pressures to conform. Please join us in upholding them in prayer. May they live wisely, remain strong in Christ, and grow in their prayer and devotional life.
The Bible says
But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him. Jesus speaking in Matthew 6:6-8 (NIV)
